Her Life
Irene O. Mark was born on November 2, 1950, in Hong Kong, one of seven children, with three brothers and three sisters. She came to the United States and graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1971, then studied about two years of college and earned her associate's degree.
Before she married, Irene worked in a dental laboratory, making dental molds alongside her uncle. She married Martin Van Mark, and they made their home in Alhambra, where they raised their son, Jason. After Jason was born she never returned to work, giving herself fully to her home and her only child for more than four decades. In 2002 the family moved to Rosemead. Travel was one of her great joys: she saw more than thirty countries with Martin and more than twenty with Jason, exploring the world alongside the two people she loved most.
Martin passed away in January 2021. Irene stayed on in the Rosemead home they had shared. She died there, at home, on the morning of June 21, 2026, at the age of seventy-five. She is laid to rest beside Martin at Forest Lawn.
She is survived by her son, Jason, and remembered warmly by the close friends who shared her years of laughter and travels.
Irene 於一九五零年十一月二日在香港出生，家中兄弟姊妹共七人，她有三位兄弟及三位姊妹。她其後移居美國，於 Lincoln High School 一九七一年畢業，並修讀約兩年大學，取得副學士學位。
婚前，Irene 曾與叔父一同從事牙模製作的工作。她與 Martin Van Mark 結婚後，在阿罕布拉（Alhambra）建立家庭，養育獨子 Jason。Jason 出生後，她不再外出工作，全心全意照顧家庭，把心力都放在丈夫和兒子身上，四十多年來以家為念。二零零二年，一家遷居柔似密（Rosemead）。旅遊是她一生的樂趣，她與 Martin 同遊逾三十個國家，與 Jason 亦走過超過二十個國家，與最摯愛的兩人一起看遍世界。
Martin 於二零二一年一月離世。Irene 繼續留在他們於柔似密的家中。二零二六年六月二十一日早上，她在家中安詳離世，享年七十五歲，長眠於 Forest Lawn，與 Martin 相伴。
她留下兒子 Jason，以及一眾與她共度歡樂時光、結伴同遊的摯友，永遠懷念。
